Our students excel again in Opti-MINDS

Parents of St Bernard State School students recently got a glimpse of their 'Citizens of the Future' at the State and National Opti-MINDS Creative Sustainability finals held at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus.

After competing against teams from as far away as Western Australia, the Year 5 science engineering team was presented with the prestigious 'Spirit of Opti-MINDS' award while the Year 6 language literacy team was awarded honours in their division.

Parents were full of praise for the students, who displayed amazing collaboration and performed at such a high level on the day.

'Opti-MINDS is just one of the many great initiatives offered as part of St Bernard’s wide-ranging enrichment program, and it’s terrific to see the students achieving the results they deserve' - Mr Adam Brandt, Principal.
