St Bernard State School is a Prep to Year 6 school located in Tamborine National Park at the southern tip of Mt Tamborine. It is a part of the Scenic Rim Council area and 30 minutes from the Gold Coast in the South East Region of Queensland. St Bernard State School has a long, proud history, with the original school being built in the 1800s. The current school celebrated their centenary in 2014 and will be celebrating its 110th Year in 2024.
St Bernard State School is a small school with the big heart, catering to students as learners first. In 2023, the staff and community realigned the school's vision and strategic plan to the Department of Education's Equity and Excellence Plan while ensuring we continue to acknowledge our strong links to the past. As a school, we welcome all families new and existing and endeavour to work alongside and with our families and community so that every child can realise their own potential in a supportive learning environment.
At St Bernard State School we have four values which are embedded in our everyday lives:
- We are safe
- We are respectful
- We are responsible
- We are learners
We welcome enrolments from Prep to Year 6 all year round. St Bernard State School is currently not enrolment managed and does not have a catchment area.
